The AW139 is the market-leading intermediate twin-engine helicopter - the benchmark for safety design features, performance capabilities and productivity in challenging multi-role operations all over the world.
The aircraft features leading edge technology, including a Honeywell Primus Epic fully integrated avionics system and 4-axis digital AFCS and benefits from the best-in-class power reserve and outstanding power to weight ratio, which provides Category A performance capabilities with no limitations in a wide range of operating conditions, including ‘hot and high’.
Passengers and mission operators benefit from the largest, most comfortable cabin in the intermediate twin-engine class.
This new kit allows to increase the gross weight of the aircraft to 7,000 kg / 15,320 lb.
The new Increased Gross Weight (IGW) 7.0t kit, combined with an optimized airframe and new enhanced role equipment, also results in significant weight reductions, more than 300kg of additional useful load in a typical offshore configuration*. In this configuration, the IGW 7.0t kit will increase the radius of action up to 165nm with 12 passengers and from 185nm to 230nm when transporting 8 passengers.
The IGW 7.0t kit can also be retrofitted to in-service AW139s. AgustaWestland will provide retrofit proposals on request. Download the leaflet to find out more on the IGW 7.0t kit.
*typical offshore configuration includes: emergency floats and rafts, air conditioning, cabin liners with soundproofing, crashworthy passenger seats and adaptive anti-vibration system.
